(Strokes)
Strokes cause devastating injuries or death. Many neurologists feel that if they can begin treatment within 3 hours, they can totally reverse the effects of a stroke.
We all need to learn the signs of a stroke. It may save your loved one’s life.
Take the first 3 letters of the word “Stroke” - S-T-R.
S - Ask the individual to SMILE.
T - Ask the person to TALK - Speak a simple sentence coherently, such as: “I came to work today.”
R - Ask the person to RAISE both arms.
S - Smile
T - Talk
R - Raise
Remember this simple test!
If the person has any problem with any one of these, call 911 immediately and get them medical help.
Another sign - Ask them to stick out their tongue. If it’s crooked or goes to one side, this is another indication of a stroke.
Save a life - Smile / Talk / Raise Arms.
